November Social Security Payments: Who Gets Paid Early?
Two calendar changes affect November’s Social Security payment schedule: SSI benefits arrive in late October, and one group of Social Security recipients gets paid a day earlier because of Veterans Day. Other payments follow their usual schedule, according to the
Social Security Administration’s official 2026 calendar.
November 2026 Payment Schedule
Your payment date generally depends on your birth date and when you began receiving benefits.
| Payment date | Who receives the payment |
|---|---|
| Friday, October 30 | SSI recipients receiving their November benefit early |
| Tuesday, November 3 | People who received Social Security before May 1997, or receive both Social Security and SSI |
| Tuesday, November 10 | Social Security recipients with birthdays from the 1st through the 10th |
| Wednesday, November 18 | Social Security recipients with birthdays from the 11th through the 20th |
| Wednesday, November 25 | Social Security recipients with birthdays from the 21st through the 31st |
These dates appear in the SSA payment calendar. People receiving both Social Security and SSI receive the two benefits separately: November’s SSI on October 30 and Social Security on November 3.

Why Some Payments Arrive Early
November 1 falls on a Sunday, so November’s SSI payment is scheduled for Friday, October 30. This is an early payment, not an extra benefit. SSI recipients therefore have no regularly scheduled SSI payment during November; the next is December 1.
Social Security payments normally scheduled for the second Wednesday move from November 11 to Tuesday, November 10 because of Veterans Day. The November 18 and November 25 payments remain unchanged.
What to Do if Your Payment Is Missing
Check your scheduled date before assuming a payment is late. The SSA calendar advises allowing three additional mailing days before contacting Social Security about a missing payment. You can find official contact options on the SSA contact page.
For future dates, use the SSA’s payment-calendar directory to plan around weekends and holiday adjustments.
